In any business, it’s sometimes necessary to take a step back in order to move forward.
That’s exactly what we’re talking about this week.
Goals, right? Have you ever understood them? I didn’t.
Perhaps, you recently set a goal. But then months passed and you weren’t any closer to your goal then when you set it.
I sucked at goals.
So, I gave them up. Phooey to goals, I don’t need them.
Do you feel this way?
That’s changed. I now set goals, crush them and set more goals. I’ve written more, exercised consistently, lost weight and been more productive. No, I’m not super human. I just follow the same method each time.
Many times, you learn more from the struggle than the success.
You see, my blog income is down from the previous month. Don’t worry! I’ve made a few changes and I’m pursuing a different blog strategy.
And yes, that strategy still includes making money.

What do bloggers do at a conference? If you follow me on Instagram, you probably see the photos with celebrities and plates of food. You think, “This is work?!?” Yes and YES! Conferences are the place where I meet potential collaborators and connect with the brands. One of the best places to do both is at the conference expo.
Running a blog can be incredibly frustrating. Especially, when you are starting out.
It feels like you are creating posts that no one is reading, writing page updates that Facebook refuses to show to anyone and tweeting like mad only to have one person click on your link.
How can you get people to read your posts and get to know you?
Three words: your email list.
